The Parish Word
We have a new newsletter! The first goal of the parish newsletter is to share information between the members of both St. Matthew and St. Paul. A second goal is to promote fellowship among our members.
We hope to publish this Parish Word every other month. (January , March, May, July, September, and November). Distribution will be by email and on our website. A few print copies will be available at church. Occasionally, we will mail it out to every household.
If you have a report, story, memory, recipe, please submit it to the church office by the 15th of the month prior to publishing (December, February, April, June, August, October).
Bible Study
Did you know that in our series of Bible readings for Sunday mornings there is also a Psalm chosen? For the time being, our general Bible study group is studying the appointed Psalms. Please consider joining us for good fellowship around the Word of God.
St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sundays after the service (about noon). St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Mancelona on Mondays at 4:00 p.m.
Junior Catechism
Junior Catechism begins September 7. We will meet at St. Paul on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. This is a 2 year program for youth entering the 6th – 8th grade. Please speak to Pastor Phillips to enroll.
Sunday School
We need your help! Everything from teachers to helpers to music leader to students (yes… let the little children come to Jesus!) Help us encourage o.ur young families.
